Welcome to the first issue of Plym Links East

by | Mar 2026

Welcome to the very first issue of Plym Links East, your new local community magazine serving Plymstock, Turnchapel, Mount Batten, Oreston, Elburton and the growing community of Sherford.

Plym Links East becomes the seventh title in the Links Magazines portfolio. Our magazines now serve communities across West Devon, Dartmoor, Plymouth and the surrounding coastline. These include Moor Links, covering Yelverton, Dartmoor and the Bere Peninsula; Tavy Links, covering Tavistock and surrounding communities; Oke Links, covering Okehampton, Chagford and Moretonhampstead; Plym Links North, covering Derriford, Woolwell, Widewell, Roborough, Glenholt, Bickleigh, Shaugh Prior, Wotter and Sparkwell; Plym Links Central, covering Peverell, Compton, Hartley and Mannamead; and Coastal Links, covering Plymouth’s waterfront communities and the beautiful South Hams coastline including Bovisand, Wembury, Down Thomas, Mothecombe, Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo.

Across the portfolio we now deliver more than 68,600 copies directly to homes and businesses, connecting communities from Dartmoor to the sea. Every magazine is professionally delivered by Royal Mail, ensuring reliable delivery to households within our carefully selected local areas.

We have been publishing local community magazines since 2011 and our aim has always been simple – to celebrate the places we live and work. Inside these pages, you’ll discover stories from across your community, along with features on local people, charities, organisations, history and heritage. You’ll also find gardening tips, health articles and helpful information about what’s happening in the local area.

A core principle of Links Magazines is that a minimum of 50% of every issue is dedicated to genuine local editorial. The remaining space supports local businesses through advertising, creating a publication that both informs readers and helps connect them with trusted local services. If you have a story to share, a community event to promote or a local initiative you would like people to know about, we would be delighted to hear from you. Your stories help shape this magazine.

Local businesses play a vital role in our communities and their support enables us to produce and deliver this magazine free to thousands of homes. In return, we encourage readers to support those businesses whenever possible. Buying locally helps keep our towns, neighbourhoods and high streets thriving. You will also find a useful directory of advertisers towards the back of the magazine.

If you run a local business, advertising with Links Magazines starts from as little as £10 per week. With every issue delivered by Royal Mail to homes across our target communities, businesses benefit from reliable distribution and genuine local reach. Our team also offers a full professional advert design service, ensuring your message looks clear, professional and effective.

The Plym Links East team is based here in Plymouth and across the surrounding area. We share a genuine passion for this part of Devon, connecting communities from moor to sea.

Thank you for welcoming Plym Links East into your home. We are delighted to be launching in this part of Plymouth and look forward to sharing your stories and supporting local businesses for many years to come.
